During Martin's career, spanning 40 years, he has played venues ranging from village halls to city theatres, the Waterfront in Belfast, the Opera House in York, the NEC, the NIA Academy and Birmingham's Symphony Hall.

He has worked with Steve for over thirty years, as well as playing everything from double bass in a classical orchestra, through folk, jazz, blues, pop and heavy rock!

Martin has shared the stage with the likes of Chris Barber's Jazz and Blues Band, Kenny Ball's Jazz Band, Marion Montgomery and Laurie Holloway, Freddie and the Dreamers, Jigsaw, Long John Baldry, Hot Chocolate and, of course, good friend - Raymond Froggatt.

While with Saraband in the 1970s, he appeared on Granada Television and many shows on BBC Radio 2.
